As an old nurse, I found the description of patients and families to be very realistic. The magic is in the CAT. Oscar affected the doctor. Medical folks can drift into a regular thought pattern, not actually seeing all that is there. Easy read.

Hard to beat a Stephanie Laurens book. All the conflicts but always a happy ending!

I am just beginning to read books about Viet Nam. Lost a lot of friends during that period of history. Found Tim O'Brien commentary to be thoughtful and not morbid. Many different types of men/boys were drafted. Each brought something that they felt was necessary for their job or their souls.
