This book was a very interesting read. The basic premise is a autobiography from a woman who grew up with parents who were very anti-establishment and kind of crazy. As she grows up, her view on her parents develops and, eventually, she and her siblings move out to live on their own. The book is full of anecdotes and the various situations she experienced and she tells it all with a very accepting attitude so, while she is going through some difficult things, the story has a light-hearted backbone. All in all, it is a window into a world very different from my own childhood and, probably, many other people's childhoods as well.

I absolutely loved this book. The writing is very simple but the message is very important and given in a very clear and direct manner. It reaffirmed my beliefs in environmentalism and the need to change the way we live in order to maintain the health of our planet.

This book is really great for fans of the TV show The Simpsons. It gives episode summaries, quotable highlights, shows the blackboard, and points out things you may have missed. Then at the end there is information about the couch gags at the beginning of the show, when Homer says D'oh, which actor does which voice and more.

These short stories are a little twisted but the ideas are unique and the stories well written. It is an easy read and great for someone who doesn't have a long chunk of time to sit and finish a whole book.
