A lot of what this book said I already know. There were lots of other books that said it before them. I like that some of that information is all gathered together into one book. The down side to this book is that some of the information inside is not going to be helpful to all people. My particular concern is the grocery saving section. Which works really good in Phoenix where they are, but not so good for those who live in rural areas. There just isn't enough grocery store competition in rural areas to take advantage of the loss leaders, etc. I would get miserly moms, and miserly families instead. Do borrow this book from the library first before you make a decision. It might contain information you want.

A must have for learning to stretch every pinch of your dollars. She covers a lot of what is to know about being frugal. This is a really thick book. Every house should have this book. Wish I had this when I was younger. This book has blessed me, and it will bless you. You won't regret the purchase of this book. In fact you'd probably make back your money in savings. I did, and then some. Awesome!

This book helped us cut our grocery bill dramatically. See the other book suggestions in back. This book and others has helped us live on one income for more than 10 years. Even through these times of recession. Awesome! Every house should have a copy. I'm glad I found it, and wish I had found it sooner.

This is a wonderful little book. I'm always looking for copies to give to my friends. There are sad stories in here, but there are also life lessons and much encouragement. I recommend this for any wife who's husband is called to the ministry. I also think it's good for anyone to read. Even my children love this book. I'm so thankful that my friend let me read it all of those years ago.

I'll tell you up front the little boy kisses the little girl on the cheek. That will be helpful for those who care about such things. Otherwise my only suggestion is that the parent or adult read the book before the child reads it. It is also better for the parent or adult to read it to the child. It's not graphic, but it is written so well as to bring a tear to even the adults eyes. Children are much different. Some children will be too sensitive for this book. Some children also will have a hard grasping the message. It's not the books fault, just a natural maturing issue. Like I said read it and decide for yourself. Low stars is just cause it's hard to say you like a book about death a lot.

I absolutely love this book. I read it to my daughter while she was little. Even as a baby. It was great for bonding with her. I gave a copy to a young lady when she had her first baby. I'll pass mine to my daughter so she can read it to her children.

There are some really good mixes in here. I like the Italian seasoning. I love the broth powder, and taco seasoning. Trust me it's worth it just for those recipes alone.

Her recipes in this book are delicious. There is a lot of variety. You'll feel like you're cooking gourmet. There are tons of vegetables. It is not a book for someone on a tight budget, but it is better on the wallet than most other diet programs out there. Though this is not a diet book, it is just a cook book. My daughter loves the variety.
The menus are only for 6 days of the week. You'll have to find something else for day 7.

Caution: On page 83 of this book a native woman drops her lower clothing revealing her privey parts.
That might just be the worst of it. My thirteen year old son doesn't need it to get any deeper than that. Every parents different, but I thought some would at least appreciate the caution.

I didn't like the part of the book where they decided to have a philosophical argument about rather or not if heaven existed or not. Without that the book would have been good to help children with the loss of a pet.

My children love these kind of books. Usbourne books are packed full of information just waiting to be learned by children of all ages. This book in particular has a section on mating that may not be appropriate for all readers. Parental discretion is advised. Otherwise this is a nice thick book on nature.
