My reviews are very brief. I either like a book or I don't. I bought this one because I love Stephen King. But I have to say, I did not like this book at all. He took a very national tragedy and while the potential was there to create a very interesting twist, he didn't. Instead, he chose to weave a cheap love story between the main character and narrator and his beloved "Sadie". Boring. Couldn't wait for it to end. sorry, this one was a true bust for me. Stephen - don't do love stories, do twisted. That is what I (maybe not all) expect of you.

I was really excited when I read the synopsis of this book however, it moved along at a snail's pace and I was very disappointed. The whole concept of the book based on a distant father who wants his young daughter back in his life and will do anything to get her back - which means rescuing her from a demented serial killer. Sounds like a good plot; but the background on the characters just didn't support it. I found it dull. However, I enjoyed the reader of the book and the voices he performed were very good. Scale of 1 to 10, 4.

I found the book to be well written and intriguing. It really made me feel emotions about all the characters whom I would describe as uppity gluttonous back-stabbing friends who are only interested in engaging in extramarital affairs with each other's spouses. I didn't like the characters but appreciate how the author made me feel such dislike of them.

This is one of my all-time favorite books. The characters are so well developed and described that I feel like I know them. The tragedy and hardship that they endure is overwhelming and I felt like I was right there with them. I have read this book several times and each time, I enjoy it more and more.

An excellent book and most exceptional about this audio book is the full cast that reads the different character discussions. Love it!

I liked this book and grew to like the characters very much. It is a "fairy tale" story but I needed that!

The Necklace: Thirteen Women and the Experiment That Transformed Their Lives
Review Date: 8/30/2012

Loved this book. AT first, it didn't appeal to me at all. But it is a "feel good" story of friendship amongst women and how taking an expensive bauble brought friends and lives together.

Thousand Country Roads, A : An Epilogue to The Bridges of Madison County (Brilliance Audio on Compact Disc)
Review Date: 9/28/2010

I liked the followup to Bridges of Madison County but there is nothing like the original. Thousand Country Roads brought closure to many outstanding issues that I had though about - but sometimes, it is nice to imagine in your own mind what transpired in the lives of Francesca and Robert.

This is one of my favorite books of all time. It is one of those stories that makes you smile when thinking of old time morals and lessons learned in times gone by. I loved the characters and at times, it made me cry. A must read over and over again.
