This was my first Ann Tyler novel, and I love her style of writing, so it will be the first of many I'll read I'm sure. I felt like I knew this large quirky family after the first chapter and didn't want to put the book down.

If you are a fan of Maeve Binchy, you will love this book! I could not agree more with a summary on the back cover; "Totally engrossing...unforgettable...an absolutely grand story...Mountfern and its residents come vibrantly alive". She is truly a great writer.

This book was "OK". I enjoyed getting to know the characters, which I thought were a little odd, but it sort of left me wanting to know more, as if something was missing. Not one of my most favorite reads, but it's an interesting story of old friends looking back at the past, and we see how their lives turned out after many years.

Like all of Maeve's books, I did not want to see this one end! I wanted to know more about Aisling and Elizabeth and everything that will happen to them as they move on into the next chapter of their lives. You can't help but feel like you know everyone in Binchy's books, and her characters are just wonderful.

I really loved this book! About halfway through I kept thinking it would make a great movie (a chick-flick of course!) The author does a great job making sure you know alot about each character and spends time looking at things from each of their perspectives until it all comes together in the end. I found I couldn't wait to see how it would all turn out, and I was pleasantly surprised with the ending. A great read!

Just love Barbara Delinsky books, and this one did not disappoint. She's a wonderful story-teller, and you can really relate to her characters. I hated for it to end!
