The romantic Black Mask has been slipping into London houses stealing and revealing secrets of evil deeds and stealing jewels which were often given to the poor. When Rose is kissed by the Black Mask at a masquerade party, she finds herself dreaming about the masked man. She decides to lure the Black Mask to her house and hire him to retrieve her brother's gambling IOU's so he will not be ruined. This has a spunky heroine and a romantic hero.

This was a great story about a masked man who would help brides escape who were being forced to marry against their will. When Samantha is being forced to marry against her will, she has a plan and tells the Bride Thief that she doesn't need his help. When she meets a man who catches her interest, she still is haunted by the kiss and sympathy of the Bride Thief.

I only got to page 100 before I quit the book. While the plot was interesting, there was too much emphasis on sex and violence.

In Book 2 of the series, Jess Mastriani tries to have a normal summer by working at a camp for musical prodegies. She was struck by lightning in the first book and developed ESP regarding missing children. She tries to convince the FBI that she has lost her powers, while anonymously reporting the whereabouts of missing children. This was a fast-paced interesting book.

Emma works as a lady's companion. Her spunky spirit has cost her a few jobs. At a house party, she meets Edison Stokes who hires her to help him find a missing book of arcane lore. This leads to danger, murder, and romance. In short, a great book. This is another Vanza series book.

This was an enjoyable Regency with entertaining characters. Felicia runs away with her childhood friend in order to escape being controlled by her new guardian. After Scott is shot by a highwayman, they are forced to stay at an inn and unknowingly meet up with Felicia's new guardian, who is friendly and handsome.

A well thought out plot and engaging hero and heroine. I was disappointed in the ending, though, since it didn't explain how they worked out their differences. They were just suddenly married and happy.

This was another great Amanda Quick book! Elenora is hired from an agency to act the part of an Earl's fiancee. She would distract match-making mothers, while the Earl looked in to the murder of his great uncle. Elenora is a great character, who faces all problems head on. I highly recommend this Regency.

When Lord Ransdale sees the beautiful Lady Wetherell, he decides to pursue her as his mistress, even though her name is linked with all sorts of scandal. As he courts her, he finds instead that he has lost his heart to her.
This had more plot and suspense than you find in a normal Regency Romance. It has engaging hero and heroine.

The idea of time travel and all the complications that involved was very interesting to read about. I enjoyed the twists and turns of the characters and how they meet at different ages. The part I objected to was some of the language and the frequent sex scenes. It is in our high school library, but I wouldn't recommend this book to any teens.

This was a light, fast read with a nice amount of humor. I read this book of the series first and didn't feel like I'd missed things by reading them out of order. Harriet is named godmother and guardian to 2 twins after their father dies. She thinks well of everyone, so doesn't realize that the twins resent her and are spreading malicious gossip. When they go to London for the season, the servants in the London house, band together to make for a happy ending.
