Maybe the most important book I have ever read. It elucidates the why for much of our behaviour. Full of historical examples and behavioral studies to exemplify the hypothesis, I found it hard to put down.

In tracing the origin of the zero and it's use, the author also examines early number systems.

Robert Reich is a delight to read. His knowledge of the financial history in the US and world is breathtaking.
