What a compelling read!! This mystery/thriller will hook you from the first page. If you are a fan of the Harry Bosch detective, this is one of his best stories. His daughter lives in Hong Kong with Harry's ex and Harry gets news that she's been abducted! Somehow this connects with his current murder case in LA and he has to figure out how with only 2 days to spare. It is a wild race across the Pacific and back again before he figures it out. Who will come out of this mess alive? What a page-turner.

Very compelling!! You will race through this book. This is the story of Fran Bennedetto, on the outside she is an accomplished ER nurse with a wonderful 8-year old son. Her husband, Bobby, is a police officer with a violent side that he takes out on her...but only where it won't show. She finally has the courage to disappear with her son and this story explores the difficulty of starting over under a new identity. You will admire her courage in adapting to her new life. And you will wait in terror, as she does, until her husband eventually finds her!

Great thriller! Michael Connelly is a master story teller with great attention to detail. This is the second in the Harry Bosch series. He is a meverick LAPD homicide detective who gets assigned to a murder that becomes personal going all the way back to his Viet Nam days. A fascinating thriller and you'll be surprised who the final traitor turns out to be. Don't miss this one.

I love the Harry Bosch series. He's a great homicide detective in LA with a lot of baggage from his Viet Nam past. This novel involves the death of two LA cops and Harry catches the case. He follows a bloody string of murders from Hollywood down to the back alleys south of the border. This is a complex and compelling murder mystery in which Harry is likely to be one of the victims. Fast paced and well written.

Joanne Harris injects just enough magic in this novel of a man finding himself after throwing away his life on an impulse. After a best-selling novel, this writer wanders aimlessly for years looking for inspiration. he moves to France on an impulse and finds so much more than a new novel. A great read.

I could not put this book down! A wonderful story about 3 young women who travel to India in 1928...one to be married to a cavalry officer, one as her bridesmaid and the last as their chaperone. This book is surprising, exciting, mysterious and full of action. It brings to life the characters and beauty of India during Ghandi's influence. They live through the unrest and rioting in protest against British rule. I highly recommend this book!
