When I first read the book's description, I put it down b/c it did not seem like the type of book I would enjoy. After hearing so many rave reviews, I had to give it a chance. Best decision I could have made. It was an excellent story of friendship and gave me great insight into modern day Afghanistan. I can't wait to read A Thousand Splendid Suns.

Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful! I could not put this book down. We read it for our book club and what an excellent choice. Made a great discussion as well. Looking forward to reading more of Lisa See.

This is the first T.C. Boyle book I read and I have more on the way. I loved the dark and humorous aspect of the writing.
