Required reading in college, the general context of the book and its message are still important for us today, especially since we still don't have equal opportunities, pay or treatment of women and girls even in our modern society.

How to Work a Room: Learn the Strategies of Savvy Socializing - For Business and Personal Success
Review Date: 9/7/2008

Although the title makes it sound more "aggressive," the social tactics and advice given in this book is very useful for people, who have to network, or just want to have an easier time talking to strangers at parties. I read the book and then tried one of the tactics at a Xmas party that evening and it really worked! I ended up meeting a nice acquaintance, with whom I still keep in touch occasionally.
