The writing style was tight and flowed. She gripped my attention even though I am not a fan of contempary serial murder mysteries. The book reminded me of Patricia Cornwell without the too graphic gore. The MC is a former FBI profiler who has PTSD, because she was caught by a serial killer she had profiled. She left her job and her husband to move back home and recover, it has been 2 yrs and she still has panic attacks and has been dragged back into law enforcement by a old friend of her fathers in her small town. I truly didn't think I was going to be hooked by this book but it kept my interest and I was engaged with the characters. I never have read the author before but would recommend this book.
