Contemporary erotic romance from Lora Leigh, book 5 of the Nauti series. Sheriff Zeke Mayes is busy trying to run his town, and discreetly investigate a home grown terrorist group, that is thought to be destroyed. He's discreet with the women he sees, and never gets seriously involved with them. The one woman he wants, but refuses to admit it is Rogue Walker, bar owner, and supposed town bad girl. But, now Rogue's family members are dying. Rogue was once a school teacher, whose reputation was ruined, by the very organization Zeke is investigating. Can Zeke catch the bad guys, solve the murders, and keep Rogue safe, while keeping his hands off of her? The writing is good, its a nice addition to the series, but I have a few issues: Zeke is supposed to be a big bad dominant, but that doesn't show through. The plot is a little twisted, and sometimes its hard to keep all the names and characters and history straight. And, why in the heat of arguement or passion, do the characters always say, "damn you!" Gets old after awile. The sex scenes are hot, but not as scorching as we come to expect from Lora Leigh. And there's a long build up, before Zeke and Rogue get to it. The book is better than good.
