Kristina Holbrooke is one of a kind. Daughter of vampires Maeve and Calder Holbrooke, Kristina is not a vampire. She has some magical powers; but tries as much as possible to live as a human. Over 130 years old, Kristina has been a widow for nearly a century and has vowed never to marry again. That is, until she meets Max Kilcarragh, a widower with two young daughters. Kristina and Max are drawn together. Kristina realizes that he is the man she has been waiting for her whole life. But outside forces may not let them stay together.

This is the last book in Miller's vampire series. I liked Kristina and Max, but Kristina's backstory did get a little boring. This story has two of the scariest villains I have read about. Little girl vampires Venetia and Canaan, are bloodthirsty savages. They've appeared in the previous books in the series, but this time we see just how deadly they are. I thought this was the best book in the series and a good finish to the series. My rating: 4 Stars.
