To me The perfect husband was a perfect book. It had non stop action, the plot was awesome and it was awesome in the fact that it let you know who the monster was at heart. I think the "scenery" depicted of the serial killer was just as important as the good points of the book. The violence just showed you the personality of the antagonist and in most boooks you don't get to know the antagonist that well. I think her descriptions of bloodshed brought the killer alive. It's my favorite out of all the books I've read so far. Not because of the violence but because of the honesty and realistic nature of the killer. It was like she painted a potrait of not only one person but everyone involved with the killer over shadowing everyone else. I absolutely love this book. Kind of like the movie the Dark Knight. I loved it because of the personality it brought to the Joker. The perfect husband does the exact same thing with it's antagonist. Easily my favorite novel by her so far. Now I'm reading the Survivor's club.
