When I saw this book posted, I was under the impression that it was an expose about the dirty world of beauty. Sort of like Naomi Wolf. But it's not even close. I really didn't get much additional information from this book that I was hoping for. Even though this book is only 5 years old, many of the links to the resources are dated. There is also "misinformation" about soy. I questioned my doctor about using soy foods (yum) and products such as Aveeno, RoC, and Neutrogena. These are the only products in which the estrogenic factors have been removed. My doctor told me that if you're still premenopausal, eating soy will not harm you. Plus it's a legume AND has protein! In fact, if you're taking oral contraceptives, you're ingesting more estrogen than soy has! As I was reading this book, I took notes. When I tried to look up information, the links either didn't work or the products were discontinued! This book is all about how Kat conquered her eating disorder and got her life together from the inside out. Every time she tells about a supplement, food, or regimin that worked for her, there is a "screaming" disclaimer stating you should ask your doctor first (duh) and that everyone is different, that all things don't work for everyone (double duh).
