This first person narrative by a successful Hollywood screen and television writer chronicles her treatment by a psychologist over about a year. During this time, she becomes more and more dependent on him. He convinces her to pay for extensive future treatment so they can "forget about money" and just concentrate on her getting better. When he is supposedly murdered she goes on a quest to learn about this person and herself. It is a fascinating read.
