This memoir is actually a collection of 12 short essays where the author relates some of the tales from his days of wandering around the world. Some of these tales are very funny, and others toward the end are quite poignant, as his lifestyle brings about severe lonliness and eventually depression. Be aware that the author relates a lot of recreational drug use and while there is no explicit sex, there is open sexuality. Definitely for mature audiences. But while he is so nonchalant regarding his drug use, in my opinion it acutally serves as a deterrent to that lifestyle. Best stories: Miss Cambodia, Yoga for People Who Can't Be Bothered to Do It, Hotel Oblivion, and Leptis Magna. Definitely worth a read.
