I find that with each book the series loses the humor that originally drew me to the series. At this point I just find the books to be rather blah.

Moreover, I find her use of highly stereotypical persons of color in the last book and now this one to be a rather pathetic attempt to spice up the series.

(i.e Mexican Fidelia and her Spanglish phrases or use of "Ay Carumba" or Phineas a.k.a Dr. Phang the ghetto hood rat drug dealer who cannot string one sentence together without using "Ebonics")

The fact that they are the only persons of color in the books and the source of comic relief is just plain offensive. But at least she stopped referring to Phineas as the black vampire.
