Things are heating up in this one...the Tressa/Rick relationship builds a lot in this one. It is a "middle" book...you need to read the one before and the one after to get the whole story of what is going on.
One thing I felt was a little "lost" in the whole story was Shelby Lynne and the Gazette being mentioned...it didn't seem to add to the story and it didn't conclude in any way. hmm...just a confusing thing to me.
A good addition to the Calamity Jayne series.
