I gave this book one star because it was actually very good in the beginning. It was better than Caldwell's other book "The Year of Living Famously" which I couldn't get into. It just got way too far fetched in the middle and I like books to be more realistic, so I didn't like it and don't think I'll be reading anything from this author again since it's the second book of hers I didn't like.
