These are letters written by Fenelon in response to notes that he received from different believers going through struggles, or seeking understanding. Fenelon's writings and letters are simple, thought provoking, and sometimes so powerful that you want to stop reading to meditate on a specific phrase or thought. Whereas most Christians and Christian writers may make seeking God a mysterious and daunting task, Fenelon shows you how to approach God by understanding yourself - and the lessons that He tries to teach you. So simplistic that it shines as what it is - messages from God by one of his close friends. Fenelon aims to prepare you for the journey of not only drawing close to God and becoming a friend of God, but by giving Him your life by putting what He wants ahead of what you want. Try it. You won't regret picking up this book. Its worth buying if you can't get it thru pbs. Happy reading!
