Not exactly what I hoped for. This book has an interesting premise: a rational psychologist who is introduced to an unknown world of vampires by a new client, but unfortunately lacks the substance to meet its potential. The main character, Kismet, is annoyingly in denial for half of the book, even when presented with the truth right before her eyes! As vampires go, Devereaux lives up to name with his charm and good looks but fails as an Alpha male hero. It seems he is never around when Kismet is in distress or in need of saving...what woman wants a hero that's M.I.A.?!

While I did enjoy the love triangle between Kismet, Devereaux and Alan, I was expecting an HEA (happily ever after) that never came. Great sexual chemistry between the characters but the romance was minimal, making this more urban fantasy than paranormal romance. This was just an OK read for me but I'm tempted to read the next book in the series to see where the story goes.
