What a wonderful, silly book! Dave Pilkey is an inspirational children's author, who struggled in school, spending a great deal of time in the hallway for disrupting his class. He never received any encouragement until he went to college and wrote his first book.
Super Diaper Baby is in comic book style with some great 'flip-o-matic" pages, that you flip quickly and get that live action cartoon effect. The story is very amusing, with some hitting (newborn hits doctor back after being given the slap of life!) and an e-vil arch rival, who turns himself into, well, into something found in a baby's dirty diaper, so consider yourself warned! (The kids will love it....)

The Barnes & Noble Review
George Beard and Harold Hutchins, the kids who invented the sartorially challenged superhero known as Captain Underpants, are back again with another action-packed adventure. The boys are in trouble again, and this time, mean old Principal Krupp's punishment is a 100-page essay on good citizenship. To make matters worse, Krupp has forbidden the boys to write about their favorite topic -- Captain Underpants -- so the boys decide to create a new hero instead.
In the boys' latest adventure story, the evil villain Deputy Dangerous

It's sort of sad that this kind of book is passed off as reading at a 4th grade level.

"Faster than a speeding waistband... more powerful than boxer shorts..." It's Captain Underpants! Young readers will devour this fancy new boxed set of the first five paperbacks in the side-splitting, potty-humored (literally) Captain Underpants series. These books are award-winning--but really, who cares about awards when you're reading about talking toilets and the perilous plot of Professor Poopypants?

I liked this book when i was in fourth grade. I am getting rid of it because i have outgrown it. Funny and cute for lower reading levels.

My son loves these books, and I have an eternal debt of gratitude to Dav Pilkey for the incredible vitality of his concepts and their appeal to tentative new readers. This book is probably the most disgusting of the entire series, and possibly the only one I regret getting. If you do not want your second-grade boy to draw a picture of a villain who has been turned into a turd, do not get this one. If you need a secret weapon to get your reluctant child reading, this series, including this and Ook and Gluk, the two comic books Pilkey created in the voices of his child characters, may be it.

George Beard and Harold Hutchins are two amazing kids. Not only did they create Captain Underpants, but they've saved the world five times! Now George and Harold bring you an all-new superhero who's faster than a speeding stroller, more powerful than diaper rash, and able to leap tall buildings without making poopy-stinkers. Meet Super Diaper Baby-the most powerful peewee to ever pack a punch. George and Harold's brand new superheor is sure to make kids laugh until soda comes out their nose.

This is a comic book type book (which I knew) It is worse than Captian Underpants, it teaches disobiedience, how to mispell words and use bad hand writeing. It is too gross for young children who need no help being gross, as little kids even with the best intentions are aften grossing out adults, how be it completely unintentional, I do not feel it should be promoted.
