Alan Lee is a prolific writer and author on cricket and horse racing.

Formerly the cricket correspondent at The Times (which post he filled from 1988 to 1999), he has authored many books, including biographies, co-written with the subjects, of David Lloyd, David Gower and Tony Greig. He is presently the racing correspondent of The Times and wrote a 2002 biography of Richard Johnson.

In 2001, Lee won the SJA Sports Writer of the Year award. He also won the award for Racing Journalist of the Year in 2003.
