Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
Author: Lewis Carroll, John Tenniel (Illustrator)
Alice lives an ordinary life, until the day she follows the White Rabbit down, down, down a rabbit hole. She suddenly finds herself in an enchanted world, surrounded by zany creatures like the Mad Hatter, the Duchess, and the Cheshire Cat. Alice is delighted to find that nothing in Wonderland is the least bit ordinary. Introduced by Chris Riddell.

Ah, a childhood favorite. I am sending out the paperback version and keeping my hardcover antique one! Some little girl should enjoy this book!

The edition I read was actually an online version with the same illustrations and everything. It is a rather fun book, and is certainly far deeper than the "children's book" that it is depicted to be on its surface. I wouldn't say I loved it, but it was certainly worth finally reading the book behind a story I have heard so much about. The language twists alone made it well worth it, as there is definitely a lot of creativity there.

I just can't with this book. I picked it up because it looked like a fun twist but just... The writing is horrible, Alice is portrayed as an absolute moron, it's repetitive, and the same scene just drags on and on and on forever without anything really happening. I've read many versions of Alice in Wonderland and never had such trouble trying to read one. I wouldn't recommend this version to anyone honestly and I'm very disappointed.

An excellent adventure into a fantastical dreamscape, full of queer creatures and events. A very good read, for children and adults alike.
