Ann Turner Cook (born 1928) is a United States author of mystery fiction, and a former high-school English-literature and writing teacher. Cook also is known as the model for the Gerber Baby logo on baby-food packages of the Gerber Products Company.
The daughter of cartoonist Leslie Turner, a five-month-old Ann was used as the model for a charcoal drawing by neighbor Dorothy Hope Smith. In 1928, when Gerber announced it was looking for baby images for its upcoming line of baby food, Smith's drawing was submitted and subsequently chosen. The drawing of Ann Turner Cook has been used on all Gerber baby food packaging since.
