If you don't like your novels with a heavy political bias, this book is not for you. This novel was obviously written from a very heavily liberal, antiwar, anti Bush viewpoint. I guarantee that it will be uncomfortable for anyone who is not rabidly sure that George Bush is satan in a suit and that the right wing is right now lurking outside their door with weapons just waiting for a reason to burst in and kill them.

I wasn't sure about this book when I started to read it and now I can't wait for the next one to come out. It might have started a little slow but it ended well and thats better than the other way around.

Good thriller with credible heroine and hero, but, as another reviewer has pointed out, very message-y - very cynical; I'm surprised the authors found any good guys at all on our side. No. 1 in a series; The Solomon Effect is No. 2

A fast-moving techno-thriller cum spy-type novel.
It's hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys, as even those who start out moral and idealistic can finally burn out if they deal with enough depraved evil...or just face too much self-interest that turns out so much more profitable than considerations of right or wrong.

From back cover: A murdered psychologist with ties to a secret CIA-funded remote viewing project...
A haunted young Iraq War vet with a "psycho" discharge
and a talent that has marked her for death...
A deadly secret that will rock the world.
You can't hide the truth from those who can see.
When the charred remains of Tulane professor Henry Youngblood are discovered in the burned-out ruins of his New Orleans offices, the CIA sends maverick troubleshooter Jax Alexander to investigate. Joined in a reluctant partnership with remote viewer October 'Tobie' Guinness, Jax struggles to decipher a cryptic set of clues that leads from the devastated neighborhoods of New Orleans to the power corridors of Washington, D.C. Pursued by agents of an influential oil and defense conglomerate with ties to the President himself, Jax and Tobie soon find themselves in a breakneck race against time to stop a ruthless killer and avert a diabolical plot that could devastate America.
