Avery Cardoza (born 1957) is an author and publisher. He owns Cardoza Publishing, which is partner company to Cardoza Games. He is the publisher of "some of the world’s most famous poker books including Doyle Brunson’s ‘Super System’ I and II, Mike Caro’s ‘Book of Poker Tells’, Daniel Negreanu’s ‘Hold’em Wisdom for All Players’ and T.J. Cloutier and Tom McEvoy’s ‘Championship No-Limit & Pot-Limit Hold’em’."
Avery Cardoza was born in Brooklyn, New York. At an early age he had a propensity for mathematics, which he studied at Vassar College. He used his mathematical skills to learn card counting techniques, and wrote his first book "Winning Casino Blackjack for the Non-Counter" at the age of 23. This was after he was banned from many casinos because of his winning techniques. Avery Cardoza is considered to be the author of some betting techniques; his publishing house has been working since 1981. Mr. Cardoza is also known as a passionate traveller who visits different exotic countries in order to understand the atmosphere of national gambling and make some research of emotional aspects of casino winning and the psychology of this winning. He currently resides in Las Vegas and New York City, and his company maintains offices in London and Moscow.
