Chetan Bhagat (born 22 April 1974) is an Indian author who has written Five Point Someone — What not to do at IIT! , One Night @ the Call Center, The 3 Mistakes of My Life and The Story of My Marriage. He has also written the script of Hello, the Hindi movie based on One Night @ the Call Center. He is married to Anusha, who was his classmate in IIM.

Bhagat was born in New Delhi in a Punjabi family and attended Army Public School (1978—1991), Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi. He studied Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute Of Technology Delhi (1991—1995), and then studied at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad (1995—1997), where he was named "The Best Outgoing Student".

He fell in love with his IIM Ahmedabad classmate Anusha and they eventually got married. A fictionalized version of his love story is given in his book The Story of My Marriage. In 2010, Time magazine placed Chetan Bhagat in the Time 100 list of "World's Most Influential people."
