This is another riveting story with the same characters as Beneath the Dark Ice and you might want to read it first as there are references in this book about it that you will understand better. 'Arcadian' is the code name for a 'weapon' that others would like to know about and possibly get, this time the team is confronted with another 'monster freak' after it follows them and they are in a cave.
