Nurse Vanessa Wooten is bing stalked. Desperate and terrified, she consumes a fatal overdoes, but manages to get to the hospital and into the capable hands of Kate Knsella, part-tims nurse and private investigator. Kate is intrigued, though she is warned that Vannessa has a historyu of mental illness.

Kate agrees to investigate, albeit somewhat skeptically, until she observes the figure shadowing not only her client , but herself, Murder adds a deadly spin when one of Vanessa's patients is smothered. But elderly Mrs. Brigstock may not be the only one to die, and Kate fears it is Banessa or herself who may be the next victim.
