Andy Barber has been an assistant district attorney for two decades. He is respected. Admired in the courtroom. Happy at home with the love of his life: his wife, Laurie and his teenage son, Jacob.
Then Andy's quiet suburb is stunned by a shocking crime: a young boy is stabbed to death in a leafy park. And an even greater shock: The accused is Andy's own son--shy, awkard, mysterious Jacob...
This is the first book I have read by William Landay. It was excellent. I could not put it down. Rather than a mystery, I would say it is about a family and how they cope or don't cope when their son is accused of murder. I could not put the book down....I wish it was longer. I want to keep reading it!!!

actually I thought this was very boring, it is written like the Dad is talking all the time telling a story, I didn't think the family was very likable at all and I thought it was so draggy that I'd put it down and read another book then get back to this one and frankly I didn't even really finish it, I just skimmed through it to see if I could hit a spot that was getting better and I never found that spot. What a disappointment!
