Eric Harr is an American triathlete, fitness columnist and author from Marin County, San Francisco. He is the founder and CEO of Eric Harr Social Media, Inc. Prior to founding Eric Harr Social Media, he was the Founding Editorial Director of VIV Magazine, the first mass market all-digital magazine (named after his daughter, Vivienne). He is an international ambassador for CARE.
Harr served as a fitness expert on CBS News for four years and is the author of five books including The Portable Personal Trainer (Random House) and Triathlon Training in 4 Hours a Week (Rodale). He wrote a syndicated column with The Los Angeles Times Syndicate for three years. He is a professional triathlete (ranked #6 in the world his first year) and is training for the 2010 Ironman World Championship to raise funds for CARE as part of his I am Powerful Workout Campaign..
