Fluff. Fun, fast-reading fluff. Good fluff, but still just fluff.

Love Stuart Woods' Stone Barrington character. Very likable guy with great side-kick, Dino - great banter between the two. Quick read - have read entire series. He can't write quick enough for me.

Stone Barrington is one of my favorite characters and he doesn't disappoint in this book. While enjoying jis late night dinner at Elaine's, he gets hoodwinked into representing a sleazy con man who leads him directly to the mob. Full of danger and romance.

A pretty typical Stone Barrington novel. I enjoy them but somehow there's never anything terribly new in these plots. A quick and fun read.

Stone embarks on his most dangerous adventure yet when a chance encounter with the wrong man sends him straight into the heart of New York's Mafia underworld. (From dust jacket)

This is another Barrington goody. Hanging out on a sunny afternoon with Stone is one of life's little pleasures! :o)

Stuart Woods "Stone Barrington Novels" are quick, simple reads. Filled with a lot of dialogue, Stone and his friend Dino solve cases with a bit of applied skill and circumstanstantial luck. In every novel, Stone a romantic fling.

"Fresh Disasters" brings Stone into contact with the NY Mafia.

Quite unrealistic, but nontheless enjoyable.

Stuart Woods is one of my favorites, and this is definitely his best so far. It's the usual suspense, murder and mayhem. Loser Herbie Fisher is one of the main characters in this one, and it's pretty funny. This has no dull moments whatever, a fun ride.

Stone Barrington embarks on his most dangerous adventure yet when he takes on a job as a lawyer for a sleazy and clueless con man - and ends up getting embroiled in the underworld of the New York mafia. It started out as just another late night at Elaine's, where Stone was eating a porterhouse steak and enjoying the company of his friends. But when Herbie Fisher, a notoriously not-so-sharp swindler, walked in, the pleasant atmosphere turned to ice.

I find the communication between characters too distracting from the story.

Herbie Fisher, Esquire is back! Stone's loser acquaintance, Herbie Fisher, is back, this time with a mail-order law degree, and he wants to sue Mafioso Dattila the Hun. Bodies are flying everywhere. Stone Barrington solves two mysteries in his usual debonaire manner. One of the better recent Stone Barrington novels, this one will have you laughing at the witty repartee.
