This is just as good as her newest novel "Flirting with Forty". Modern day woman going thru the trials of love with kids too. JUST WONDERFUL!

When things seem bleakest, and you wonder why you even bother with romantic entanglements at all, this is a good book to read. You have a chance to commiserate with the main character, and her experiences help work through the post-breakup process. Plus, it's funny. I'm a big fan of Porter and she delivers nicely here.

This was a fun book that I couldn't put down till I finished it. It was a everygirl's dream gone bad, you couldn't help but feel her pain and wanting everything to turn around for her. This is a first of his author for me, I will be researching her to see what else she has to offer.

I picked this book mainly because it was set in the Marina/Cow Hollow district of San Francisco, where I live. If you're familiar with the area, you'll find that the author uses many true-life bars/restaurants within the story line, which I thought was fantastic.

I found that the author sometimes gets so caught up in describing her heroine's moods and thoughts that you can go a page and a half before there's any interaction between the main character and a secondary character. I found myself skipping over pages until i saw "quotation" marks indicating dialogue. But aside from the "mental dialogue", I really enjoyed Holly's story. It's nice to see a woman who isn't dependant on a man to help her live her life.

Cute read.

I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Unlike other chick lit books, this one wasn't corny and predictable. It was multi-layered w/ lots of sub plots, interesting characters, and character development. The main character was multi-dimensional and extremely relatable. I'd highly recommend this book for a fun weekend read.

A little slow. But it passes the time.
