Glenn Harlan Reynolds (born 1960) is Beauchamp Brogan Distinguished Professor of Law at the University of Tennessee, and is best known for his weblog, Instapundit, one of the most widely read American political weblogs. The Truth Laid Bear

Reynolds is often described as conservative, but holds liberal views on social issues such as abortion Reynolds: The mommy wars - Glenn Reynolds - MSNBC.com, the War on Drugs and gay marriage. He describes himself as a libertarian and more specifically a libertarian transhumanist. Instapundit.com He customarily illustrates his combination of views by stating: "I'd be delighted to live in a country where happily married gay couples had closets full of assault weapons." Instapundit.com He is a strong supporter of Porkbusters and the Iraq War. He has been critical of left-wing transhumanism, which he believes could lead to a Brave New World-like situation of totalitarian government.

On October 25, 2007, Reynolds wrote that he was a former member of the Libertarian Party. Instapundit.com

In 2006, he released the book An Army of Davids: How Markets and Technology Empower Ordinary People to Beat Big Media, Big Government, and Other Goliaths, which covered the various ways in which modern technology is changing society by allowing amateur individuals to do things that previously only large, well-funded organizations were equipped to do.

Reynolds was a finalist for the World Technology Network's 2004 Media and Journalism award. In his remarks, he said:

Reynolds is a frequent contributor to Popular Mechanics, where he writes about broad legal and practical issues in the digital age, and sometimes participates in their coverage of events such as the Consumer Electronics Show. He has also written for Forbes, The Atlantic, The New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, and numerous other publications.

Reynolds also ran his own music label WonderDog Records, for which he also served as a record producer.
