A good book although it is a little out of the norm when all things considered. It is definitely a good fast read and bascially i enjoyed it
completely. It is a book that you most likely are able to know the ending
but you read it anyway.... Your decision; read from the back cover:

At the center of Home Again is Madelaine--a brilliant cardiologist, a loving mother, a tender friend, and a woman full of self-doubt. It is also the story of her confused and angry daughter,Lina, and of the two very different men Madelaine loves: Francis, a priest searching for his faith, and Angel, a talented but cynical man with a broken heart. When tragedy suddenly brings them all together, they must learn to forgive the betrayals of the past and find the courage to love again.

Home Again is the touching story of love and faith, hopes and dreams. Angel DeMarco is a famous actor who is only 34 years old. He's on a bad road (drugs, drinking, women) with a bad heart. During a night of parties he has another heart attack. He thinks the doc will give him more meds and he can continue his life as is. Unfortunately his luck has run out. He needs a heart transplant. He's transferred to another hospital in his hometown of Seattle....the last place he thought he would ever go was Home Again. Memories flood him of the brother and the girl he loved and left when he was only 17 years old. Will Angel be able to say the things he needs before it's too late?

This is a book you can't put down. If you like books that will make you cry than this is one for you. You will need one whole box of tissues. I started getting misty eyed and then around page 200 I was bawling and couldn't stop. I would definitely recommend this book and plan to read it again.

I read this book when it was first released and have read it several times since. I absolutely love it, it's my favorite of all her books! This is the newer release. I am keeping my original copy.

When a failing heart takes fast-living, rebellious Hollywood icon Angelo DeMarco back to his hometown and the life he once rejected, he finds he has more to live for than he thought, but he needs courage-and a miracle-to make it happen. A driven cardiologist heroine; a troubled, vulnerable teenager; and a magnetic priest round out the cast of skillfully drawn characters, and paranormal elements and flashes of humor temper the bittersweet quality of this memorable story of love and redemption.

I struggled with a bit of the logistical elements in this book, but overlooking those, it was a good enough read. Parts of it were corny and the overall story was predictable, but the characters were likable. Not her best work, but a decent book for light-hearted, summertime reading.

When Movie Star Angel DeMarco suffers a heart attack, his survival depends on a heart transplant. Moved to a prestigious hospital in Seattle, he is put under the care of Dr. Madelaine Hillyard, the pregnant girlfriend he abandoned 17 years ago. Facing death, he tries to come to terms with his misspent life, and attempt to make things right with Madelaine, his saintly priest brother, Francis, and his rebellious daughter, Lina.

This book was a definite tearjerker. Kristin Hannah characters are well defined and intriguing. Angel's attitude about the transplant drove me a little nuts for the first half of the book. I wanted to slap some sense into him. Even though the story is fairly predictable, I highly recommend it. My rating: 4 Stars.

This is a story about friends, Madlaine-cardiologist, mother, friend and woman full of self doubt. Francis, a priest searching for his faith and Angel-a famous star with the problems fame brings. They grew up together and are brought together by a tragedy and must face the past and build a future.

Touching and inspiring, it is also a story of modern-day miracles, medical, and, perhaps, those not of this world
