This book left me with more questions than it answered. We all heard of the bad treatment that many of the Viet Nam vets received. Some people in this book said it didn't happen to them, and more surprisingly, said it never happened at all, which I find hard to believe. The majority of these people were young-19, 20 years old. They were asked, or told to go to Viet Nam for their country, and when they got home (if they got home) they were ignored, at best. Anyone who lived through the Viet Nam era should read this.
"A Vietnam vet could take being spat upon by one person. What broke our hearts was being spat upon by our country" (from the back of the book). An interesting book spoken by the soldiers, reflections on what it was like to serve in the Vietnam war, and stories of their homecoming.
