There are not enough words to describe how much I did not like this book. The main characters came off as being bipolar. At one point he came close to killing her during sex, but a "sorry about that" and she was quick to forgive and carry on! Not to mention the fact he slept with someone else after being with her, she found out and never said a word, seriously!?
There should be a negative star option for this book.

This was not this author's best effort, but at least it was better than her previous "Wine,Tarts, & Sex" which was just plain awful. This storyline wasn't too bad; at least it seemed somewhat realistic and feasible. The character development was a joke; yes, the hero has many issues, and the heroine was a classic blond model-type. Can we have a reality check here? I know the author wanted the reparte between the hero & heroine to be sharp & witty, but it came across as petty sniping - very unattractive dialogue. Ms. Johnson needs to get herself a new editor.

I am stunned that the woman who wrote so many complex historicals could write such a shallow contemporary. Are all of her new ones this dreadful? The writing is at a high school level, with very simple dialogue and barely sketched characters. So disappointing.
