This is a great book about some modern day mercenaries who get basically kidnapped and taken to a distant planet to set up to prepare to grow a certain crop that can only be grown once every 600 years. It has some pictures every so often. For me the pictures were a distraction, but the story reads well; good writing, well-built characters, lots of action.

It is good enough that I ordered the sequels to see how it ends.
