I gave it 4.5 stars -- not 5, because not "FANTASTIC!", but not 4 because it is really clever, a new twist on an old trope. The only critique/complaint I have is that it can be hard to tell when the protaganist is speaking out loud versus talking to the voice in his head. Other than that, it was a nice fun read, and I liked how the author wrapped real historical stuff into the mythos he created.
