With the one thing holding their marriage together gone, Eden and Clay go their separate ways. Their baby girl was kidnapped out of the bedroom in their home.

Jump 5 years down the road. Clay refuses to believe that their daughter is dead. He doggedly keeps searching, chasing every lead and never giving up hope.

Eden was a bitter young woman. With her daughter dead, she runs out of her marriage never to look back. But God gets a hold of her life and she meets another special man who at any moment is going to pop the question shes been waiting for.

Then Clay has to show up and ruin her chances. Theyre still married? Clay never signed the divorce papers and whats more, he claims to have proof of their daughters location. Without second thought, Eden follows Clay to Bluebird Ranch in South Texas.

What follows is intrigue, danger, and romance guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat, or at the very least flipping through the pages.

The tension between the two characters sizzled and practically started a fire right in my hands.

Another well done book by Colleen Coble. Read it, you wont be disappointed. I give it 4 Stars.

Many thanks to Booksneeze for my review copy of this book.

WOW!!! This is Colleen Coble's best yet! A story I absolutely could not put down. From beginning to end I was glued to the pages 'til my eyes crossed and I had to get some sleep. I found myself hiding out just to be able to read a few more pages. I must say the chemistry ran strong between Eden and Clay, which I love! And one thing I appreciated very much was all the interaction between them. They didn't spend the whole book fighting like in some stories. I also enjoyed seeing the couples from the other Lonestar stories play a role in this tale as well. This was most certainly a story filled with mystery, suspense and action that kept me wondering until the end who was responsible. I like trying to figure it out! I think the message that it's our choice whether or not we trust God even when we don't understand things was well played out. That's a great message because there are lots of things that happen that we don't understand but God does. This could be read as a stand alone and you wouldn't feel lost but I think reading the other stories (Lonestar Sanctuary, Lonestar Secrets, Lonestar Homecoming) make for a much richer reading experience. If you've read the others (or even if you haven't) I highly recommend you pick up Lonestar Angel and stop by the Bluebird Ranch to meet Clay and Eden for yourself! Be prepare to stay awhile! A thank you goes to Thomas Nelson for this complimentary ARC for my review through Netgalley.

There's nothing I like more than a cowboy hero and Colleen Coble sure knows how to write 'em. With each book in the Lonestar series the characters just keep getting better and better and the romances are sweeter. Whether you're a fan of westerns or not Coble ropes you into life on a Texas ranch, so much so that you don't want to leave as it feels like you're abandoning old friends. There's no such thing as a slow beginning in any of the books of the series including this one. It's almost a guarantee that you will be turning page after page until you get to the end--in one sitting!

At first glance I thought that this wasn't going to feature a lovely cowboy (is that an oxymoron?) but some city slicker named Kent but I am SO glad one of Coble's famous cowboys soon came on the scene. From the first chapter on you can't help but want everything to work out for Eden and Clay and hope that they discover the daughter they never stopped loving in Bluebird Crossing, Texas. The sparks fly between the two in spite of how Eden left things when she ran out on Clay years ago. If you're a romance junkie who thrives on tension, you will be pleased. ;-) The foster kids who are guests at the ranch are so adorable and you will just love the ending of their story too!

Some parts of the story were slightly hard to believe for example, I couldn't believe a mother would ever give up hope of finding her child alive, especially if she was never proved to be dead but it was still a story I wouldn't hesitate to read again. If you're used to a ton of action and adventure this book is kind of low key in that aspect but there is a touch more suspense than your regular run of the mill romances. All in all I recommend this entire series including, Lonestar Angel to everyone who loves a sweet, not to preachy romance.

I didn't really care for this, it was written on the level of a teenager. The story is an old one, the romance/marriage is an old storyline, the crime is an old storyline, the culprit is an old storyline and the repeat repeat is throughout the entire book, how many times do you have to have pages and pages of repeating--I love him so much but does he love me?, or how can I live without her--or the sky at night is black with shining stars? yuk!
