I am looking for books where the Hero and Heroine first meet while he is rescuing her.
Example:
Mackenzie's Pleasure by Linda Howard
Midnight Rainbow by Linda Howard
Everyday, Average Jones by Suzanne Brockmann

Just trying to remember Damsel in distress romances - which are getting relatively rare these days:P   I think you've already read several of these, but here's a list of what I can immediately call to mind:

Untamed & Ride the Fire by Pamela Clare

A Rose in Winter by Kathleen Woodiwiss

The Bartered Bride by Mary Jo Putney

The Dream Hunter by Laura Kinsale (although she's kind of helping him too)

Must Have Been The Moonlight by Melody Thomas

Pale Moon Rider by Marsha Canham

My Lady NotoriousDark Champion, The Devil's Heiress, A Lady's Secret, &  Forbidden, by Jo Beverley

If I can think of anything else, I'll add them in later.

The Maiden of Inverness by Arnette Lamb.    She VERY briefly met him years ago and meets him again when he kidnaps her.

Indigo Moon by Patricia Rice-hero accidentally compromises heroine when rescuing her from kidnappers.  Although if I remember right they met a couple of times before because he's friends with her cousin. But they barely no each other.

This book also fits the hero with a handicap (bum leg) and lrg age different-hero is 30 and heroine is 17.

Its not really a romance per say... but the Hero is a professional kidnap rescue guy... and the Heroine is one of the ones who was kidnapped in the book.

Just a Hint, Clint by Lori Foster comes right to mind.  I thought it was cute!  Technically it's part of a series, but it's one of those series where each couple pretty much has their own book so it didn't bother me to read it out of order with the rest.

Take Me Tonight by Roxanne St. Claire-hero works for a male escort type business where women pay to be "kidnapped" by a hot guy.  Actually he's under cover and the heroine is looking for her missing friend that used the service.

The Wedding by Julie Garwood.   The hero kidnaps the heroine on her way to an arranged marriage.   It is a really good read.

EAJ by Brockmann is terrific.  Another Brockmann that has kidnapping as a theme but the h/h have a history and the heroine is kidnapping the hero is The Defiant Hero.

Re:  Marrying the Royal Marine-kidnapping is a large part of the book, but h/h are kidnapped together.  They have a history.  So, good....Napoleanic(?) wars.....

This is an oldie but a goodie - Sweet Savage Love - Rosemary Rogers.  I have been thinking about re-reading the series.  It was always one of my favorites.  Thanks for the other suggestions too.  I have added some newbie authors to my list.

Thanks so much, Sherri.  I didn't know that Gerards last book had this theme.  I've read Graham's first two in the trilogy, but not the last.  I will be getting that one out.

I've never read O'Shea will check out that one.  Thanks, Thanks, Thanks,  :)

seems like I started a romantic suspense with this theme - not sure if the H/h knew of each ot her beforehand though seems like it was one of Cherry Adair's early books in a series - I remember some torture to the heroine and of course that halted any further reading on my part!
