Mark Cahill (born March 16, 1962) is an American author, speaker, and evangelist. He is the founder of Mark Cahill Ministries. Mark reaches out to thousands of people each year speaking at churches, retreats, conferences, and camps where he seeks to equip and challenge Christians to boldly go and reach out to those who are lost.Mark is the author of two books: One Thing You Can’t Do in Heaven which has over 400,000 copies in print. It has been translated into Russian, Chinese, Spanish, Romanian and Nepalese, and One Heartbeat Away which has over 500,000 copies in print. Mark currently resides in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
Mark attended Auburn University from 1981 to 1984 on a 4 year basketball scholarship. He played forward on the varsity basketball team and was a team mate to Charles Barkley. Mark was named to the Academic All-SEC team (first team) in 1983 and 1984. He was also an honorable mention to the Academic All-American team. He earned his bachelor's degree in Business.
After graduation Mark spent a few years in the business world, working at IBM and in various management positions. He later surrendered his heart to Jesus Christ and asked God to put him in a place where he could touch as many lives as possible. Within the year, he became a teacher at a Christian high school. Mark's plans were to teach for the rest of his life, but God had something different in mind. Mark felt called to devote a year to full-time evangelism before embarking on a speaking career. Mark founded Mark Cahill Ministries in 1998.
