If you or anyone you know plans a trip to Provence, make sure this book goes too! It is an excellent guide to the wonderful Provencal outdoor markets. If you want to experience Provence at its finest, this is one of the very best guide. Provence is in southern France bordering the Mediterranean Sea. Provence, the cornucopia of France, offers up its abundance in open-air markets that are part of a centuries-old tradition.

Full of gorgeous color photos, this is a beautiful as well as helpful book. After the trip, it is wonderful to go through the book again and savor all of the great memories. For the finest produce, cheese and other delights of the South, this book is a must have!

It is divided into 7 chapters: 1. Monday in Cadenet [a Gateway town] 2. Tuesday in La Tour D'Aigues [a Chateau market]] 3. Wednesday in Saint-Remy [a painter's place] 4. Thursday in Aix-en-Provence [the Paris of the South] 5. Friday in Bonnieux [a village in the clouds] 6. Saturday in Apt [on the old Roman Road] 7. Sunday in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue [an island Provence]
Cookbook it is not since there are only 2-3 recipes for each chapter included. But the pictures are all color and the information given makes for fun reading.
