Good romance set in the Highlands. Iain loses his wife and acts out, earning him a penance of taking a family heirloom to a holy shrine. Madeline poses as a nun (ha!) to extract family vengeance. They hook up, posing as man and wife, to reach their goals in a good romantic tale.

Adventure and mystery in the 1300's Scottish Highlands. He was the lord of the land-but a slave to one woman's passion. As punishment for burning his family chapel on the anniversary of his wife's death, Scottish knight Iain Maclean must go on a pilgrimage to an obscure monastery on the far side of Scotland. On his way, he meets Lady Madeline Drummond and becomes her protector.
OK story, good for a quick read.
A better than average historical romance. The author has at least studied the time period and it shows.
