Interesting story on the balance of the world. Slow to get into at first but easy story line to follow. Nature lovers would love this tale of nature getting back at humanity!!

I liked the initial dichotomy between the 'forces' of nature, but only one of the characters had any supernatural element, while the opposing powers of nature were overly humanized. The supporting characters weren't developed in a way that made me attached to them or concerned about their fates, though because of their roles within the story, I feel that they should have made a bit more of an impression.

The story was good though, and beautifully written. I'm still not certain how I feel about the big revelation toward the end of the book, but it was cleverly done, eerie without reaching too far into disturbing. A good read - I'll certainly try others by this author, but this book didn't earn a spot in my personal library.
