Interesting story on the balance of the world. Slow to get into at first but easy story line to follow. Nature lovers would love this tale of nature getting back at humanity!!

Very interesting story of nature in chaos and the aftermath of what it could do to humanity. I enjoyed it.
I liked the initial dichotomy between the 'forces' of nature, but only one of the characters had any supernatural element, while the opposing powers of nature were overly humanized. The supporting characters weren't developed in a way that made me attached to them or concerned about their fates, though because of their roles within the story, I feel that they should have made a bit more of an impression.
The story was good though, and beautifully written. I'm still not certain how I feel about the big revelation toward the end of the book, but it was cleverly done, eerie without reaching too far into disturbing. A good read - I'll certainly try others by this author, but this book didn't earn a spot in my personal library.

I really liked this book as Mother nature tries to take over the world.....Tim Lebbon, the author, writes a little highbrow for my taste and his descriptive nature is quite a bit overdone, but even at the senile age of 67 I still got the idea and still very much enjoyed it. A new and different supernatural story which was quite refreshing...not the same old, worn out premises! Good reading!
One morning the world does not wake up. People lie dead in their beds. Killed by their own nightmares. They are lucky. For the few remaining survivors, the new world is a confusing terrifying place. Things are different now. The balance of nature has shifted. Mankind is no longer the dominant species-it is an intruder, something to be removed, destroyed by an Earth abent of vengeance. Back Cover
