Just enough romance to make the story interesting. Los Angeles Mob boss wants to have Beth killed for witnessing a murder. She runs to estranged family in Kentucky to hide and hooks up with old beau. Nice balance of suspense and romance without stupid, sappy heroine.

Well written--losing faith in the authors that write romance/suspense this one turned out to be very well written in terms of the solid flow of the story, not full of foul language, some sexual content but doesn't go on and on and on, liked the story of the 'mob boss' trying to get away with murder.
