I almost gave this only 2* but yet it did hold my interest 'most' of the way through, about the last 1/3 of the book I was getting bored with all the back forth of then/now (I hate that format!)
The story was interesting but I think it would've been better if the 'then' part had been written as a part 1 and then the 'now' part as part 2 and separated them out better, but this back and forth crap got very tiresome and at times it was trudging through mud to get anywhere with the story
I didn't figure it out (usually I do) so the last few chapters were an eye opener but then the ending left a lot to be desired it just wasn't a good ending for me.
So I'll give this 3* as it is a good effort and his next book (which I've already read) I gave 5*

Someone else might really like this book and give it more stars so I'm not saying don't read it you might really like it.
